MEET A SPECIAL "JEWEL"

We have a very special "Lifetime Honorary Joolspacer" that we consider to be part of the Joolspace team - that's Jewel Lozada. Yes, her name really is Jewel - and we think she's a real gem!

Jewel is the daughter of Edwin & July Lozada, our good friends in Los Angeles who assist with the shipping of the Integrity Pearls orders. Let Jewel tell you about herself...

"Hi, I'm Jewel Lozada from Los Angeles, California. My name is special because God gave it to my parents after they got married in Manila in 1980. I am their third child, but my two earlier siblings were not given my name because they happen to be boys.

"And I happen to be a special child. I was born in 1987 in Manila with Down Syndrome and heart disease. Yet I am the Jewel in the family. I spent my pre-teens with my family in the Philippines (Los Banos and Dumaguete) and in the neighboring country of Brunei Darussalam

"Music runs in the family. I love to do interpretative dancing and play the drums.

"I'm on oxygen 24/7 (which means even when I'm in the car, in school, and even when sleeping). But I know the Lord has healed me in His appointed time, so that I may be able to dance and play the drums freely. He's done it for many and He'll do it for me too because He's awesomely good, especially to those who trust Him."

Well, may we all have the faith and happy spirit of Jewel.
